A new cultural adventure that adds a new piece to the art itinerary conceived and conceived for the Sala delle Colonne in Pontassieve.

The exhibition “Il Bisonte – art printing and graphics school” opens on Saturday 30 April at 5.30 pm in the town hall, a journey to discover the activity of a cornerstone of the Florentine artistic tradition and of all that cultural universe that surrounds this glorious mark.
Antonio Natali and Adriano Bimbi – curators of the exhibition – will guide us through lithographs and engravings in the story of how a printing house can become a place of cultural and artistic encounter and contamination. It will be possible to admire the works (intaglio and lithographs) of great twentieth century interpreters such as Carlo Carrà, Gino Severini, Ardengo Soffici, Venturino Venturi together with international names such as Pablo Picasso and Henry Moore, but also the works of young artists of our time who in the International School of Graphics of the Bison have formed and established themselves. Precisely this union has made the strength of this brand, the contamination between known and emerging, between the past and the propensity for enhancement for the future and that until July 3 it will be possible to know in Pontassieve.
An exhibition, supported by the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, where the promotion of art is therefore intertwined with the enhancement of techniques, the didactic offer of experimentation aimed at younger people.
Entering this world therefore becomes an adventure into the past, but also a tribute to the present of a school that still today represents a center of production and creative ferment of extreme importance on the international scene.
The inauguration is scheduled for Saturday 30 April at 5.30 pm and will see speeches by Monica Marini, Mayor of the Municipality of Pontassieve; Carlo Boni, Councilor for Cultural Policies of the Municipality of Pontassieve; Antonio Natali, art historian; Adriano Bimbi, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Rodolfo Ceccotti, director of the Il Bisonte Foundation.
