Rodolfo Ceccotti writes about him:
“It was the end of August 2013 when, for the first time, I left for China headed to Lanzhou, the” Golden City “on the Yellow River. Despite not being inclined to long journeys, I accepted the invitation of the National University Art of that city for the interest of his friend Adriano Bimbi who had already undertaken a similar journey. There I would meet Chinese teachers and hold meetings with students. My contact was with a Chinese painter and professor I did not know, Gao Jun who for a year he had attended the Florentine Academy. Upon arrival, at the airport, in the crowd, a smiling face greeted me with a sign with the words “Ceccotto” on it. The relief of that encounter, in an unknown country and the “Instant sympathy with Gao, helped break the ice. Almost immediately a friendship was born that never failed. He introduced himself as Moses, a name adopted for Westerners and chosen by the Bible. The time they spent together revealed his character. , the subtle irony, the moral honesty and dedication to his work, painting, in fact. The recurring theme in his works is nature in its various aspects. In addition to painting in oil, he expresses his emotions through the use of black ink on paper, renewing the ancient traditions of his country and interpreting them with his eyes and mind towards Western art. Moses (I will continue to call him that), has a deep knowledge of Chinese art, but he also traveled the length and breadth of Europe visiting the most important museums of ancient and contemporary art. He fed on different cultures, he has a wealth of visual emotions I would say out of the ordinary, which he consciously pours into his work as an artist. I have often observed him in China and Italy stopping in the countryside, enthused by a place he had seen and which inspired him: he took out his tools and began to work sitting on a tiny bench. Working he felt no fatigue, he ignored the wind and the rain or the blazing sun. All he needed was paper, ink and a sharp stick to draw. During the night, in his study or hotel room, in complete silence, he found the ideal moment to complete his work. So these notes of his emotions come to life through an intrigue of signs, they tell of trees, hills, half-hidden buildings … where black and white dominate the composition with some notes of color as a musical counterpoint. The naturalism that inspired him gives space to the universe of emotions.

These works are now on display at the Bisonte, they are accompanied by some photographs: Mosè is also an excellent photographer. They are portraits of friends, photos also strictly in black and white, shots aimed at searching for the soul of the characters portrayed. Two different aspects, painting and photography, where the common meeting point is the poetic emotionality of our Moses. ”
